Spinal Stenosis

Started by Kaymc 1946 on 11/08/2019 7:10am

Hi Everyone,
Great to find a site with people with lots of knowledge and experience.
I had spinal surgery for relief of sciatic pain 4 months ago. Very successful in relieving sciatic pain and drop foot but I now have numbness in both feet. Is this normal?

If this helps, I had a decompression/laminectomy to my L1L2. Symptoms prior to surgery were weakness with numbness in left leg from groin down to both feet. That was August 2018. 15 months later, Weakness gone but still have numbness in my toes and a “tightness” around my left knee. I was told by my surgeon, Rothman Institute, symptoms would resolve themselves in 1-2 years! It’s a slow process but walking on a treadmill with 1.0 incline, has been my saving grace! My leg is stronger and able to up and down stairs easier. God bless and I pray for strength to improve.
