Recent dx of cervical rediculopathy
I was dxd with cervical rediculopathy 13 days ago. I was in excrutiating pain until 2 days ago. I did absolutely nothing but scream in pain literally all day and all night. I have mast cell disease and mutations on the cyp genome chain which makes me allergic to 95% of all drugs and suppliments and i also overdose on extremely small amounts of meds. With this being said drug therapy has not been an option for me. Needless to say i have never been.in this much pain in my entire life. With my illnesses i may be looking at an exceptionally slow recovery. It has been 13 days and i am still flat on my back. The only way i can get up is if my chin is pulled down to my chest and my arm is raised over my head. I cant be up for more than 15 mins because the pain becomes unbearable. Does anyone know anything that i can do to help this along? I currently do physical therapy 3x/wk with traction and dry needle therapy. I do nerve release exercises and massage therapy also. I can tell you that there is absolutely no possible way i can deal with this intense pain for much longer. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Be blessed. Cheryl

Cheryl,
Are you a candidate for surgery? I have cervical radiculopathy, but since my 4 level acdf I am doing much better. I'm so sorry to hear about your disease. I personally cannot handle RX pain meds in any fashion. But, I went through the surgery, and never needed anything but ES Tylenol since I was out of the OR. I'm blessed and I attribute my good healing to an awesome surgeon, Dr. Lon Baronne here in Lafayette LA. His PA is awesome as well, Aaron. I can certainly say I've been in good hands. Literally! Feel free to write back if you have any questions. Sorry I couldn't help more. Prayers your way Cheryl.
