I find progressive relaxation more effective than exercise for backache from spinal sthenosis. Anybody else?

Depends on level of stenosis. There are many people living with some stenosis that never really bothers them and some back pain is normal in just about every human that spends their life upright regardless of job or lifestyle. Some folks have mild to moderate stenosis with radiculupathy affecting the nerves which requires a bit more to stretch things out and keep the area strong and can usually keep bad episodes at bay by stopping to address these needs through out the day as needed and will use a walking cane/walker to avoid the need to stop every few minutes. . Those with severe stenosis are often clouded by the pain and not knowing when a flare up will leave them stranded somewhere. Either way, anyone living with back pain should learn meditative relaxation and make it part of their daily routine.
