The 6th Neurosurgeon just told me that my back is going to get worse.

Hi my name is Pam. I am 37 years old. I was diagnosed with Scoliosis when I was 12 years old and my parents were told that I would " grow out of it " well I haven"t, anyways I was diagnosed with aggressive/ progressive DDD when I was 22 and was told I'd end up in a wheelchair in the future and that I had a back of a 70 year old. Now I've been to numerous Specialists and University hospitals and they all say that I will get worse. I've had 9 back surgeries so far. I refuse to believe anything they say because I've been in a wheelchair last year for 61/2 months and 2 of those months I spent in the hospital because of physical therapy to keep my muscles from atrophying ( getting all gnarled up } and they said I probably will not walk again due to my intense pain in my back. and lack of total feeling in both legs, I am walking now I believe that where there's a will, there's a way you see doctors can be wrong too. I do have a question though my neck has been hurting a lot it really hurts when I turn it side to side or back and it's been going on for about a month now and my pain meds do not help my neck pain at all ( I take Dilaudid, Ultram and muscle relaxer Robaxin } should I just wait it out or should I tell my family doctor when I see him for a check up on the 9th of Nov ?
