Hello, and thanks for your post about your upcoming fusion!

Anterior lumbar interbody fusion (also known as ALIF) is a common type of spine surgery. We think it's great you're looking to learn as much as you can about your procedure. This article gives a good overview of ALIF surgery and what you can expect ( Anterior Lumbar Interbody Fusion (ALIF) Surgery Treats Low Back Pain ). We hope it's helpful for you.

Of course, nothing beats the information that comes directly from your doctor because he or she knows your specific situation, so we encourage you to ask as many questions as possible to help prepare you for your procedure.
