Living with chronic pain.

I have suffered now,for eight years with chronic pain caused by congenital degenerative disc disease,thoracic kyphosis,spinal stenosis,osteoarthritis,rheumatoid arthritis,deforming joints in hands,feet,knees &hips,R hip is now 100% b on b.Waiting for a replacement date.Atrial fibrillation just to round it out.I have lost a total of 4 inches in height,now,worst two spots in the spinal column are T5-6,C4-6.Lumbar discomfort,immobility,increasing.Stenosis forming right along as per prognostical estimates.I have not posted on here 4 awhile,but I'm sure I can help in dealing with chronic pain.Up to thirteen different muscle relaxer,pain killer,heart meds,etal.Every day,for the last two weeks now,starting all over from scratch,with another doctor in tow.5 physicians are managing my care,now.It's late,I will post again soon. spinelessinalbertaJustKeepSmilin':)JesusSaves!LoveIsTheKey P2

Thank you for sharing your story with us! We are so sorry to read about your experience with chronic pain, but we found some encouraging things in your post.

First, we think it's great that you're approaching your pain with a new doctor--sometimes a new perspective is just what you need to better manage your pain. Secondly, it sounds like you have a positive attitude, and the mental and emotional battle is almost harder than the physical one!

We're curious: What treatments have you undergone (outside of medication, which you mentioned) to manage your pain?
