Failed back surgeries

Started by NYJeff on 11/26/2018 5:36pm

I have had 3 failed back surgeries. I discovered they even have a name for it “Failed Back Surgery Syndrome” . I think it’s sad that they have a name for it. Each surgery involved laminectomies, fussions and the installation of rods and screws.
After my third surgery l ended up in the ICU with a severe infection. The infection is in the hardware and I am on Cipro for the rest of my life. This past June I had an electronic spinal cord stimulator from Boston Scientific installed to help with my pain and to reduce the need for pain meds. My pain has been increasing I went to my surgeons office and an X-Ray showed that one of my titanium rods is fractured. How do I find out if there has been a recall?’

Thanks
