Right lower back/Sacro and leg pain

Started by billyqpr on 08/29/2019 11:35am

Hi there!
I injured my back playing football about 10 years ago now, I was literally running at full speed and got a pain in my back as a result. No leg pain at this stage. But only rest for about 3 months would get rid of it. I stopped playing football as a result because it kept reoccurring. Fast forward 10 years I’m playing golf and I feel it go again but this time with horrible leg pain to accompany it (burning sensation in hip and buttock, knee pain and down the side of leg, sometimes in foot). After seeing a chiropractor he advised me to get an MRI which came back as normal apart from early facet joint degenerative changes in L4/L5 and L5/S1 showing a subtle right paracentral disc bulging with no evidence of nerve compromise! Very frustrating as some days I’m in a lot of pain and have to take strong pain killers. I just want to sort this out but no one seems to know what the problem is! (Also I want to add sometimes I can feel a lump of what feels like cartilage where the pain in my back is and if I move it around it causes sensation in my leg).
