Has anyone had a “Syrinx” before? Did it cause any problems?

I’m a 43 year old single mother. In 2010, I woke up and couldn’t feel or move anything below my neck. It was discovered that I had a “syrinx” . The syrinx expanded and blocked my spinal fluid which was the reason I couldn’t move. The syrinx was located in my neck. The shunted the syrinx after 9 1/2 hours of surgery. The absolute worst pain of my life.
Took close to a year to recover and by the point my muscles were not holding up my head. They replaced my neck with cadaver bones another long recovery. I’ve had 7 back surgeries from spinal stenosis. I have a fusion, and artificial discs.

After have an updated MRI it appears that several discs are almost gone or completely gone, screws are bent and rubbing, that found another “syrinx” in my lower back and I now have scoliosis.
My pain is endless. I don’t even know what it’s like not to be pain free. My quality of life is 0. Now my back aches so bad, my neck hurts and gets sharp bursts of pain. My libs are thick and heavy.
I need to go back to work to give my daughter the life she deserves. My mind needs to be challenged to keep my energy up.

I’m thinking of getting a rod out in. Not one person I e talked to is laid up like me. They continue to work, go to the gym and be able to stand more then 20 minutes at a time. Anyone here or know different? Any other suggestions?

If you have had a syrinx please tell me everything.
Thank you in advance for any possible word or wisdom.
