When Does 'Skeletal Maturity' Occur?
I was wondering if there was a way to determine skeletal maturity in persons. Does it usually occur around age 18, or can it be sooner or later than that?
Thanks!

I understand the patellar bone is the last to mature in the body.
I was always told between the age 15 to 23 would be the grows spurt.
Hope this helps.

I have heard most girls reach skeletal maturity 2 years after the onset of their period (menstrual cycle) and boys are usually done growing when they have to "shave every day"...around age 18
