anatomic planes/ sagittal
I understand the other planes, can someone help with sagittal plane "longitudinal plane diving the head and torso into left and right parts (not halves)" my brain is wiped trying to figure this out.....I know the answer is under my nose but can't see it!
help!

Sagittita is Latin for "arrow." Think Sagittarius. An arrow strikes the body from the front-center, as does the sagittal plane, splitting the body into right and left halves. It also describes any plane parallel to the sagittal plane passing through the body's vertical axis. See Anatomical Directions at
