Foot Drop

Started by bob1965 on 10/15/2018 1:10pm

I went through this Surgery for herniated disc, after the doctor detected that I have foot drop. Now am recovering and the stitches will be removed next week. Not Sure How Long will it take to recover from this foot drop and will it affect the knees of my right leg as the load is shifted towards it or any other hip problem because when I walk I can feel the pain on my other leg.

I had foot drop 6 years after a laminectomy L4-5 and they had me where a Ankle fracture boot, the short one, after 3 months I was able to raise my foot again. 2003. I've had 2 more spine surgeries since, thoracic T6-8 and fusions L4-L5-S1 and have never had foot drop again. Talk to your doctor about that. It worked for me. Good luck.
