Memory Problems
I Have Spinal Stenosis and severe neck problems. Could my memory problems come from this. I dont have any form of dementia but have some decrease in part of brain on both sides that deals with memory.

Hello, I dont know if there is any corralation between the two, but I two suffer from this. Lately I have become worse on saying what I am thinking, I can see the word but have a hard time saying it. Any one having these same experiences please let us know...
I also have these same symptoms. When my neurologist diagnosed my cervical stenosis, he said that didn't explain the memory/speech problems. I sometimes cannot remember names of everyday things, put milk in the cupboard, spread Crisco on toast, odd things like that!
about a month ago went thru the samething.
I am seeking out a new neurologist and I will mention these symptoms to them. There must be some connection between the two...
I also have memory problems, but I tend to blame mine on the meds. I'm just on morphine, lyrica, omeprazole, and phenobarbital. But it could be the morphine along with the depression that comes with back pain, don't know! You are not alone...that's for sure!

Came back from holiday and just seen reply's to my question. I have suffered from the memory problems as well as confusion and tiredness along with the headaches and neck stifness and pain which radiates down arms with tingling and numbness for six years now. Neck pain a lot longer. Can only think these have arrisen due to the increase in neck and lumber pain which only recentlly been diagnosed as spinal stenosis. When neck is at worst its like a fog goes over my head and cant think straight. The fact i have good and bad days makes me wonder if these added problems are to do with neck. Thank you for taking time to answer. L
